Reno Jazz Festival
Attending the Reno Jazz Festival is like putting emphasis on the love of life. It's an easy idea for anyone who loves both, because it's the very idea
of love on piano, string, horn or drum that brings people to Reno to share in the experience of the love of jazz. It's the very idea that music can subliminally
transport you across time and space without distance. Jazz is the medium that can bring bodies to move and sway like cat-o-nine-tails in the breeze; possessing
mystical wings that lift and carry and set you down in a place your soul remembers well. Listen to the bass notes squeezed and pushed and eventually meeting
the bow with resonating tones. Let the potency of that resonance overcome anything unlike itself as horn and drum reach the same tonal arena of your mind. As
that sound becomes larger it surrounds you entirely, transforming you into the art the artist brought to life. This is cool jazz, man. Combine that
now with some of the best young and aspiring musical artists in the country, assembled in Reno to compete for recognition and honor, and you then have more than
you could wish for, but less than could ever be enough. It is your choice. It is your love. It is your jazz. Join us in April for the

Reno Street Vibrations
It begins like a rumble from a far distant but fast approaching storm. Women cover little children and pull them aside. Men straddle their mounts, getting ready
to ride. Thunderous claps converge into blasts of harmonic sound. City lights flicker on and off, as if sending signals to outposts yet unaware. Strangers run
for shelter in fear of this tempest from… The earth begins to tremble, streets vibrate, children peek wide-eyed from behind their mother's skirt. Everybody
holds their breath. Then, as if an entire town sighed in relief, cheers rise up from the gathered crowds, bands begin to play, vendors open their booths and
hotels throw open their lobby doors, as thousands of rolling-riders bonded to their tricked-out machines arrive en masse. The party is ON! It's
Reno Street Vibrations

Reno Nevada Bowling
The National Bowling Center in Reno, Nevada, offers a truly unique venue for meetings and events of all sorts. Named "Bowling Center of the Decade" by Bowler's
Journal International, the National Bowling Stadium in downtown Reno is the only facility of its kind in the world. The Professional Bowling Association tour
makes regular stops at the Stadium, along with bowling superstars and legends like Walter Ray Williams Jr., Parker Bohn III, Mike Aulby, Dick Weber and Earl
Anthony. As far as national recognition is concerned, it's not unusual for NBS tournaments to be broadcast live on national television. Dubbed the "Taj
Mahal of Tenpins," by The Los Angeles Times and "Pin Palace" by USA Today, people who bowl at the Stadium say it's "Awesome."

Reno-Tahoe Shakespeare Festival
The Great
Reno-Tahoe Shakespeare Festival
. "For many years, the NSC has provided Nevadans with productions that celebrate cultural and social reform, while giving new life to Shakespeare's timeless
writing. The company offers beautifully staged performances to diverse communities and audiences, with the goal to take productions and programs to every county
in Nevada....The opportunities which the NSC provides to students are unique; many may never again be exposed to theatre in such an intimate and exciting way.
I again congratulate the NSC on their recent selection as one of the NEA's Shakespeare in American Communities recipients." Senator Harry Reid.
